May Recap

May has flown by, and with it there have been steady advancements in the build of Regency Yachts P6509. Before the hand-selected walnut walls, veneers, and floors, and custom stainless steel and polished chrome fixtures are installed, essentials like the fuel, water, and holding tanks and plumbing must be finalized and installed. The current progress photos from the master builders at New Ocean Yachts in Taiwan provide a stark contrast to the rare combination of luxurious appointments with exceptional technical features of the finished yacht. For a reminder of what the Regency P65 looks like when completed, check out the May edition of Northwest Yachting, where P65 gets a great launch. The article provides background, details, and photos that will make you want to take a tour to see for yourself. Their conclusion: “If you’re into big yacht amenities but don’t want to wander into 70’+ territory, the Regency P65 Motor Yacht is certainly worth a look.”

We had a fabulous time at the newly rebranded Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show May 17th-20th. Martin, Kristen, and Scott enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by the Premiere Yachts display, which included the 2018 Regency P6508 and a Custom 44’ Tollycraft Motor Yacht. The Show’s Opening Ceremony was an especially fun moment, presented by the City of Anacortes. The Town Crier, Richard Riddell, rang the bell and welcomed the Northwest Marine Trade Association and the Boat & Yacht Show to town. Distinguished guests included Brad Johnson, Harbor Master, Stephanie Hamilton, Chamber Director, Katie McPhail, NMTA Boat Show Director, George Harris, NMTA President, Mary LaFluer, ALT Insurance and Anacortes Chamber of Commerce Chair, Laurie Gere, Mayor of Anacortes, Joe Verdoes, Head of the Port Commission, and Dan Worra, from the Port of Anacortes. After the Crier said his piece, George Harris christened the Show by breaking a bottle of bubbly on the dock.

As the Regency P6509 build continues and we prepare for more events and brokerage listings this summer, we invite you to follow along with us on our Facebook Pageand Instagram account. Happy yachting!

The Latest News from Premiere Yachts – April 2018

Regency Yachts P6509 is progressing nicely. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at some of the components going in, including the fuel and water tanks and the AHEAD sanitation system. The hull and deck should be joined in the next couple of weeks and shortly thereafter, the Volvo D13 900hp engines & Twin-Disc “Quick-Shift” transmissions will be installed. P6509 will also include new features, like an aft deck day head, Victron Energy solar panels, and a Webasto sunroof. If you are interested in this Regency, there’s still time to make design decisions to customize the yacht to your style and preferences.

Opening Day of Boating this year falls on Saturday, May 5th, which is fast approaching. This year’s theme is “Ocean Crossings” and the parade of boats starts at noon with the blast of a cannon and the raising of the Montlake Bridge. Visit the University of Washington website for log boom registration information, and the Seattle Yacht Club website for more Opening Day info, including parade registration. If you decide to take your boat out to the log boom so you have a front row seat of the parade, it’s first come first serve. The parade route closes at 9:40am, so make sure to give yourself plenty of time to get settled. You can also enjoy the parade from the shore, and if weather permits, bring your family and a picnic lunch and enjoy the festivities.

The newest Regency, P6508, will be in Seattle at the docks of Premiere Yachts for the next couple of months, so if you would like a private showing please contact your regional dealer to arrange it. P6508 will also be in the Anacortes Boat Show May 16th– 20th, which is another great opportunity to view this stunning vessel.

Australian design and building techniques with master craftsmanship to create custom yachts that exactly suit your lifestyle. The Whitehaven

each of these beautiful Australian yacht designs provide performance and luxury.

The build of Regency P6509 is underway in Taiwan! Here you see it being released from the hull mold. While the mold is the same for the
P65 yachts, each of these exceptional vessels is unique from those that came before it. Like all of the luxury motor yachts in the Regency P series,
P6509 will be equipped with 5-star amenities and customizations from stem to stern. We look forward to chronicling this build as it continues,
and will provide updates here on our blog, and on our Facebook Page and Instagram account. We’d love to have you follow along!

Speaking of the Regency P series, Premiere Yachts will soon be introducing the Regency P60. This semi-custom yacht will be in production
soon and is set for delivery in Spring 2019. It offers the same 5-star features and amenities as the P65 in a slightly smaller footprint.

Our preparations continue for the Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show, May 17-20. Anacortes Chamber of Commerce and the Northwest Marine Trade
Association have teamed up to put on this revamped show. Regency P6508 will be on display, so if you haven’t seen the P65 yet, this is the perfect
opportunity. There’s still time to make your hotel or marina reservations if you’d like to stay for a few days, or hop on the ferry and make it a day trip.
Either way, we hope to see you there!

The Latest News from Premiere Yachts – February 2018

Premiere Yachts is excited to announce the Seattle arrival of Regency P6508. It was offloaded from the transport ship in the middle of a windstorm on Saturday January 27th. With the help of a capable 7-man crew from Pacific Coast Yacht Services, we prepared this beautiful yacht and moved it to the Seattle Boat Show for its debut on Tuesday January 30th. The P65 garnered rave reviews from its new owners, from potential clients seeing the yacht for the first time, and from fellow yacht dealers at the show. If you missed seeing this exceptional yacht, it will be at the Premiere Yachts docks through April. Stop by and see why we believe Regency Yachts are THE five-star cruising yacht. You can also see a photo album of the arrival and debut on our Facebook Page.

We were joined at the Seattle Boat Show for the debut of P6508 by fellow Regency dealers from California, Canada, Florida and New York. It was wonderful to connect and collaborate with individuals with more than 100 years of combined yacht building/marketing experience to see if we could find ways to make our Regency P series even better. We want to thank Dan Sammis from Seattle Yachts in Florida, Tim Cleal from Canadian Yacht & Ship Brokers, John Baier from Oceanic Yacht Sales’ New York-Hampton office, and Rick Peterson from Oceanic’s Sausalito, CA office for investing their time and working together to create a strong network that our clients can count on for service, no matter where they boat in the US or Canada.

The next boat show on the horizon for us is the new Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show in Anacortes, Washington, May 17th-20th. This will be an exciting new venue and the Show will be taking place throughout many marinas and dry-dock boat sales facilities in Anacortes. If you’re planning to attend the Show for a couple of days, it’s not too early book your hotel or make your marina reservations. Regency P6508 will be there as well and you can schedule an exclusive tour with your dealer. We hope to see you on the docks!

It may be February, and there’s still a chill in the air, but Spring is just around the corner. The Spring Equinox is March 20th, and we spring forward with the beginning of Daylight Saving Time on March 11th. We are all looking forward to the extra hour of daylight so that we can do more after work cruising! After that comes the Opening Day of boating on May 5th. If you’re waiting until then to acquire your next yacht, it might be too late! We have had more interest and activity around both new and brokerage yachts so far this year than in the beginning of the last five years. Also, there seem to be fewer late model brokerage boats on the market this year, so it’s time to get in touch with one of our sales professionals: Marvin, Shelly, Kristen, or Martin. They are ready to assist you in acquiring a yacht that fits your cruising lifestyle.

One of our late model brokerage yachts we’d like to draw your attention to is Fortunate Son, a 2005 54’ West Bay SonShip Pilothouse that has been beautifully and thoughtfully maintained by caring owners. This sought-after model is an exceptional find and shows almost new. Fortunate Son offers two spacious staterooms with queen island beds and ensuite heads and separate entrances.

Congratulations and job well done to Marvin Nielson for helping one of his long-time clients acquire a beautiful 2013 Chris Craft Launch 32. The Latest News from Premiere Yachts – November 2017

As we launch our new blog, Premiere Yachts would like to sincerely thank all of the clients and friends who make our business of yacht import, sales, and brokerage truly fun and enjoyable. 2017 has been a busy year so far, with more still to come! We were happy to hear from our clients Harvey and Suzanne Prince about their second season of cruising the Pacific Northwest in their new Regency P63, delivered in June 2016. This year also saw the delivery of two Regency P65 yachts, including one to Tom and Martha Walker this June and the second to Don and Lori Armstrong. While out enjoying a San Juan cruise, the Armstrongs saw the P65 and knew in the “blink” of an eye that the Regency was the yacht for them. Upon delivery, they christened their new P65 “BLINK” and were kind enough to show it off with us at the Lake Union Boats Afloat Show in September. Our newest Regency Yacht, Regency P6508, is currently under construction in Taiwan, and we look forward to sharing more about it in the weeks to come.

We would also like to congratulate our Sales Manager and Yacht Consultant Marvin Nielson for helping two of his clients realize their dreams of yacht ownership. In October, Marvin’s client Logan Shepardson took delivery of “Harri Sea,” a 1986 Chris-Craft 422 and moved it over to its new home at the Seattle Yacht Club. In August, client Tom Jones and his family closed on a 2001 31’ Tiara with Marvin’s help, and headed through the locks to Lopez Island as the start of their summer cruising season. With more than 30 years of experience in the marine industry, Marvin is a wealth of knowledge and a valuable asset to anyone seeking guidance on the purchase of a boat. We are so happy and grateful to have him on our yacht sales team.

In addition to the new Regency P65 in the works, Premier Yachts is also preparing to add new members to the Regency family: the Regency P52 and P58. Martin has been traveling to China and Taiwan to interview three high-quality prospective yacht builders, all of whom have the pedigree to take on these latest additions to the Regency P series. If all goes according to plan, we expect these new yachts to make their debut in 2019.
