With over three decades of experience, Martin has gained extensive expertise about building, outfitting, and selling major boat brand yachts for a discerning clientele. Martin brings that experience to every customer interaction. Whether clients are buying or selling a yacht, or customizing one of their own, they find working with Martin an informative and fun experience.

Martin started out in the boating industry in 1985 with a dealership in Portland, Oregon that sold Wellcraft & Reinell boats. Martin went on to spend 18 years at Seaward Yacht Sales selling Grand Banks, Kadey-Krogen, Nordhavn, CHBB/Ponderosa, Silverton, and Mainship yachts. Then, at Compass Point/Crow’s Nest Yachts Martin sold Tiara, Cheoy Lee, Compass Yachts, and Viking Yachts. After this, Martin took a sales manager position at Adventure Yachts, the Pacific Northwest dealer for Hampton, Legend, Pama, Regency, and Symbol Yachts. In 2008, he formed the Hampton Yacht Group with four partners and was a working partner for six years. In December of 2014, he and his friend and business partner Jeff Chen opened the sales office for Premiere Yachts to reintroduce the Regency line that had been put on hold during the recession. Premiere Yachts is the global importer for Regency Motor Yachts with dealers in California, Florida, Canada and Australia and is also a brokerage offering a wide range of pre-owned yachts.

M A R V I N  N I E L S O N

Marvin Nielson has loved boats his entire life, as a child his family always owned boats.
​By age 13 he passed his first US Power Squadron course at the old Tacoma Yacht Club Building. By age 14 he landed his first maritime job as a deckhand on a sport fishing charter boat in Westport, Washington. By the time he was in high school he bought his first boat, a 17 foot Chris Craft Cavalier Runabout.

As an adult he continued his love of boats and in 1984 he joined the team at Sundance of Portland, Oregon and in 1997 he moved to Seattle to manage the Seattle office. During his tenure as a yacht salesman, his duties have ranged from salesman to vice president of sales. During his time with Sundance he primarily sold four U.S. brands: Carver/Californian, Marquis, Navigator, and Chris Craft.

Over the years, Marvin has sold hundreds of boats, so he brings a lifetime of expertise and experience to his customers. Whether or not you know the bow from the stern, he will inspire and guide your inner skipper into the right decision. He loves boats, people who love boats, and loves the people he works with. Marvin Retired in 2006 but found he missed the business too much, so he went back to work with the team at Adventure Yachts here in Seattle to learn the Asian boat market.  There he sold and was a part of the Asian Build Team dealing with the Symbol, Legend, and Hampton yachts.  Then in 2009 he decided to fill a void in the northwest yacht sales and brokerage business.  He formed Advance Marine Group to create an upscale, international dealership to build niche vessels from runabouts to 80 foot yachts. In September 2016 he joined the team at Premiere Yachts and hasn’t stopped running.

Shelly brings 35 years of sales and consulting experience, including four years in executive yacht sales to the table. She specializes in new boat sales and also has a solid background in working with preowned boats. Shelly’s years of negotiation skills and deep interest in design enable her to match her clients with the ideal boat for the lifestyle they are seeking.

She loves working with the team because she knows Premiere Yachts will exceed your expectations whether you are buying a new yacht, trading in your boat, or shopping for a preowned boat. She looks forward to working with you and your family.

S C O T T  F U L T Z

Having started out in yacht construction and sales in 1962, Scott brings an impressive compendium of knowledge and experience to the team. He’s worked as a foreman, a superintendent in production, and was a quality control manager. He was Sales Manager for Tollycraft, and has also worked for Tiara, and Genmar on the West Coast.

When not in the office Scott enjoys everything about boats. He loves the joy and excitement that come with being on the water in a beautifully crafted and maintained vessel. He likes to do dock walks when he can’t actually head out for points near and far. He especially enjoys working with Premiere Yachts because of the concern the company shows for each of the boat owners whether they are buying or selling a craft, and for the boats themselves.

K R I S T E N  J U A N – S N Y D E R

Kristen is not only the operations manager for Premiere Yachts, she is the ambassador that welcomes all who visit with a warm smile and ready to talk about boats.

Kristen grew up on Whidbey Island. After she finished school in Bellingham, Washington, she moved to Seattle where she started a career in banking in 1992. Eventually she helped start the marine lending program for Peoples Bank. She met Martin at one of the boat shows and three years later they were married on a boat in the middle of Lake Union. She retired from banking after 20 years and decided to then go work at Nordstrom in accounts receivable where she worked for five years. In December of 2014 she and her husband, along with their partner, Jeff Chen, started Premiere Yachts. In February of 2017 Kristen joined the team as operations manager, where she manages all aspects of the office to ensure it runs smoothly.

T Y L E R  L I N N I N G E R

Tyler is the man for hands-on know-how in keeping crafts running beautifully. In his 18 years of experience, he has worked in every aspect of running a boat. From retail sales of parts and accessories, to repairing fiberglass, paint, electrical systems, plumbing and maintenance. His background runs the gamut.

Tyler has lived aboard his own boat since 1999 and shares a passion for all things seaworthy with the rest of the Premiere Yachts team. His enjoys working with well-built boats, and the folks who appreciate them. His passion shows in the high-quality work he accomplishes on every vessel to which he turns his expertise.
